is thirteen years old and in eighth grade. She began playing the flute three years ago, having had a background in piano and violin. Last year she played first chair flute in the Capital Christian Homeschool Bands’ wind ensemble, and participated in their choir as well. She also played first chair flute in the North Carolina Christian School Association’s All-State Band. When she moved to Maui in May she began studying flute privately with Peggy Schecter, is is honored to be part of the Maui Flute Choir and the Maui Youth Philharmonic Orchestra. In her spare time, Jensine enjoys playing the instruments she has taught herself: guitar, ukulele, and the Irish tin whistle.
