is currently a senior at Baldwin High School. In the Baldwin High School Symphonic and Pep Band, she is a flute section leader and in the Maui Youth Philharmonic Orchestra she plays violin as a concertmaster.

In addition to her musical activities, she is president of the Baldwin High School chess club, an officer for the National Honor Society, and part of the school’s student council Executive Board. She also enjoys competitive math and doing research at the Institute for Astronomy.

She has been playing flute since 7th grade and studies with Peggy Schecter. This is her 5th year playing with the Maui Flute Choir. Anica plays a Yamaha flute.
