began her flute career at the age of 9, taking music lessons from her neighbor who happened to be a flute teacher. She spent time in the youth orchestra during middle school and earned first chair flautist during her senior year in the Sacramento Youth Symphony.

Ann continued to play recreationally throughout college at UC Berkeley and her medical training in Phoenix, Arizona.

Currently, Ann works professionally as a dermatologist but loves playing music for fun and considers herself fortunate to be part of the Maui Flute Choir. Ann plays an Armstrong flute.
