is a junior attending Baldwin High School currently playing the flute and violin with a prior interest in piano and French horn. Darius was selected for the Maui Intermediate Select Band 3 years in a row, each time achieving first chair flute. He has studied with Teresa Skinner on the violin since 2008, recently completing the Suzuki Method Violin School Book 9 of 10 and has also studied with Peggy Schecter on the flute for the past 3 years as a member of the Maui Flute Choir. He has enjoyed his experiences with the Maui Academy of Performing Arts, playing the role of The Fiddler in Fiddler on the Roof and as part of the orchestra for Fiddler on the Roof, Miss Saigon, Evita and Jekyll & Hyde.

His love for the violin has taken him to many different places and in many different directions as well. Darius had the opportunity to attend the Suzuki world convention in Matsumoto, Japan, the California Summer Music program at Sonoma State University, and the Summer Strings Academy at Indiana University. On Maui, he has had the pleasure of playing in the Maui Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and currently plays with the Maui Chamber Orchestra and the Maui Pops Orchestra. On Oahu, he is a member of Youth Symphony I of the Hawaii Youth Symphony.
