Mickey Beutick-Warren

started playing the piano at the age of five. She bought her first flute when she was in her thirties, receiving private instruction for several years. Presently, Mickey is a student of Peggy Schecter.

Mickey has played with various groups in California and Oregon: the Kern Valley Community Orchestra, the Tehachapi Symphony, the Beaverton Symphony, the St.Matthew Lutheran Festival Orchestra, the First Presbyterian Church of Portland Orchestra and the Rose City Flute Choir. After her move to Maui, she joined the Maui Community Band and the Maui Flute Choir, where she plays piccolo, flute and alto flute.

Mickey is of British/Dutch origin. She holds a PH.D. Degree in Linguistic Sciences as well as a Master’s Degree in Education. She is a professional translator (fluent in several languages), a free-lance graphic designer and watercolor artist.
